ADesignStudio’s Pendant: A Sculptural Anchor in a Forever Home
In the heart of Stellar House, a reimagined California bungalow in Melbourne, light becomes a language of memory, movement, and meaning. When the homeowners set out to transform their beloved family home, they turned to Robson Rak to bring their vision to life: a space that honoured Edwardian character while embracing bold, contemporary expression.
At the centre of this transformation is the kitchen, where our pendant by ADesignStudio hangs above a marble island and green Lacanche oven. Referencing heritage glazing, the pendant is both sculptural and luminous, its form echoing the home’s new architectural language of curves, ribbons, and rosettes.

This is not just a light fitting. It’s a focal point. A gesture of permanence. ADesignStudio’s pendant was selected for its ability to hold space with quiet strength, anchoring the kitchen in warmth and rhythm while complementing the home’s layered material palette of stone, timber, and stained glass.
As interior architect Chris Rak notes, “We didn’t want to separate the new from the old.” The pendant embodies this philosophy, bridging eras through craftsmanship and light. It’s a piece designed to last, emotionally resonant, materially refined, and deeply embedded in the story of a forever home.
