New release: FlatWhite W2 Opal, a Functional Wall Light for Everyday Enjoyment

Just like your morning cup of coffee, the FlatWhite collection is designed to be experienced every day. Due to the popularity of the FlatWhite, ADesignStudio has created a larger version of its original W1 Opal – the W2, which is now available in the core collection.

Soft, simple and versatile, the tactile wall sconce of the FlatWhite is detailed with a concave chamfer and acid-etched opal finish captures the light within the glass. The glass shade scoops inwards from the edges, which creates an illusion as if the light is floating off the wall, producing a subtle illumination without any glare.

The FlatWhite’s refined, uncomplicated design means it can be placed anywhere, effortlessly conforming to a variety of interior styles and aesthetics in residential and commercial settings. Initially crafted for a custom project in Tokyo, Japan, the FlatWhite’s larger form enables a more prominent light, enriching the space with a delicate glow to wherever it’s situated.

FlatWhite is made from handblown glass to produce a poetic emission of light. By teaming up with local glass artists, ADesignStudio produces lighting to honour and accentuate the delicate synergies of both glass and light.

The new large W2 FlatWhite models measure 150mm in DIA, with six concealed LEDs to illuminate larger spaces. Now all FlatWhite fittings are available with black, white, chrome or brass finishes for the base.
