A dappled refraction of light, now larger than life. ADesignStudio has released larger versions of the revolutionary Crackle Wall Light. Initially designed for a custom project in Tokyo, Japan, the new sizes have now joined ADesignStudio’s core ensemble and are viewable online.
The gently curved glass refracts light back onto the wall in unique radiating motifs of light and shade. Available in both tea and olive glass, the crackle introduces a remarkable effect of form and pattern. The organic beauty becomes a true piece of art, defining the interior with its sculptural configuration and expressive dappled hues.
ADesignStudio has redefined the century-old technique of glassblowing by creating a cracked glass that is ripe for modern living. By arming the fitting with the latest LED technology, the lamp inside is concealed while light still radiates through. This results in a refined diffusion of light that’s reminiscent of the traditional flame lamp.
When it comes to glassblowing, crafting larger sizes by hand takes a special amount of rigor, meaning every Crackle Wall Light is dowsed in dedication. Every piece offers an organic textural effect, meaning that regardless of size, no Crackle Wall Light is the same. The Crackle Wall Light is now available in two large sizes – the W3 Crackle Wall Light (300mm DIA x 60mm H) and W4 Crackle Wall Light (400mm DIA x 60mm H), both with dimmable control options.
