The subtle hues of lighting can influence both mood and ambience, and whether we’re aware of it or not, the colours we use to illuminate a room have a profound impact on the way we feel, altering our experiences in subtle and intangible ways.
Whether it’s the clear, sepia or salmon glass tint from our Alchemy collection, the colours in each lighting system interact with the texture of the glass to enrich and transform space. Our crackled glass, part of our collections, is a beautiful example of this; uniting the robustness and fragility of handblown glass, the organic texture of these lamps helps to distribute timeless, unearthly refractions of tea or olive-tinted light.
This artistry is the culmination of both design and technology. During the glassblowing process, an array of colours and textures can be introduced while the glass is in its raw, molten form. And because this is all done by hand, every piece is unique; each of our handcrafted lights will illuminate a space differently and project a slightly different colour or form.
We also invite you to be creative and consider customising your lights with colours beyond our current selection. Customisation is at the core of ADesignStudio’s ethos, and we have consulted with clients to create tailor-made designs for a range of residential, commercial and hospitality projects. At ADesignStudio, we have the capacity to create a much wider selection of tinted glass and can tailor it to almost any colour you desire.
In addition to colour, you should also think about what finish you prefer. Choose between our original brass fittings for a classic, tasteful look, and our new blackened brass finish for a fresh but refined appearance. All of this is brought together with a handmade light fitting and LED engine, crafted with the technical prowess of our creative director Alex Fitzpatrick, in order to create a truly customised product.
