For the Harbourside boardroom of Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Sydney, Electrolight invited us to collaborate on a bespoke ceiling installation that quietly reflects the character of the harbour outside. Studio Enti created hundreds of oyster-shaped pieces, cast from real locally gathered oysters, to form a soft, sculptural field suspended above the boardroom table.
From ADesignStudio’s side, we designed and produced the bronze uplighters and suspended dish that anchor and illuminate the work. The uplighters wash warm light upwards into the oyster forms, revealing their texture and variation while keeping the boardroom comfortable and functional for everyday use.
We were also closely involved in the stringing and assembly of the hundreds of oyster-shaped pieces, working with Studio Enti to balance density, height and rhythm so the installation feels like a floating “oyster cloud” rather than a rigid arrangement.
The result is a calm, atmospheric canopy that sits in dialogue with Sydney’s harbourside view — a quiet collaboration between light, material and place that we’re proud to have helped bring to life.
