Garaku Restaurant – Prefecture 48

Lighting the Way: Prefecture 48 Celebrates Culinary and Design Excellence

At the intersection of culinary mastery and design innovation, Prefecture 48 has emerged as a beacon of excellence. Recently, Garaku — its signature restaurant led by Chef Derek Kim — was awarded two hats, a prestigious recognition that celebrates precision, creativity, and the art of hospitality.

ADesignStudio is proud to have contributed to this achievement, with our Crackle Table Lights framing the chef’s table in Garaku. These sculptural luminaires are showcased in front of MISE-EN-SCÈNE, a pixel panel artwork by Tokyo-based spatial designer Hiroto Yoshizoe—an evocative backdrop that deepens the sensory experience of the space.

But the accolades don’t stop there. Prefecture 48 has also been shortlisted in the World Interiors News Awards, a testament to the collaborative brilliance of the project team. From spatial choreography to lighting nuance, every detail reflects a shared commitment to excellence.
